Meet The Boy Named Barbara

Electronic Music Conductor
Barbara is an electronic music conductor, DJ, and producer from Los Angeles who builds sets like stories you can dance inside. Blending house, pop, and emotional songwriting, their original house music pairs deep drops with surprising experiences that feel equally at home in a club or on a festival stage.
Known for tracks like “This Is Who You Are” featuring Crystal Lewis and the favorite “SEXY,” Barbara’s sound lives as an affirmation of dance floor energy and human connection. Their productions combine infectious rhythms, memorable hooks, and a sense of optimism that invites listeners to show up fully as themselves.
As a performer, Barbara approaches DJing more as a conductor of the room. Their sets move fluidly between house, tech house, and unexpected moments with his live band.
Beyond the decks, Barbara is the founder of BARBARAboy, fashion funded music and the creative force behind a growing ecosystem dedicated to helping artists build sustainable creative careers. Whether producing records, developing emerging talent, or performing live, their mission remains the same: create spaces where people feel seen, connected, and free to dance.
Music
Barbara co-writes and co-produces everything they play — tech house, house, and vocal house, released through Barbara Records. Recent singles include “This Is Who You Are” featuring three-time Grammy nominee Crystal Lewis, “Booty Call,” and “SEXY,” with an album due in 2026. No clearances, no crate-digging, and no overlap with the rest of your lineup.

Setup Note
Barbara performs facing the band, not the crowd. Their mixer and CDJs set up in front of the booth with audio switched over at changeover. Live instruments and vocals route directly into their mixer, with players positioned in the booth and conducted from the rig. Barbara’s team handles the transition — advance a walkthrough with the FOH engineer and it takes minutes.
